Oh!

Right, err, sorry about that

I mistakenly took the letters you typed for words and the words you typed for insults and and uncalled for abusive comments

By all means say what you want to in future and I'll apologise for mis-understanding

After I've stopped you from posting again of course ;)

Oh come on, calling everyone 'dimwits' as a light hearted comment hardly deserves the abuse you're giving me!

And I don't think you've ever stopped me from posting.
Oh Well

**group hug everyone**

This is becoming an emotive issue.
The Five Towns lie close to the heart of dear old England. They spread across the face of the countryside for many miles. Proud, unique and indispensable.

Do you drink from the cup? Do you eat from the plate? You have The Five Towns to thank for that. The Five Towns stand for progress and civilization.

When our story begins, Bursley was the largest of The Five, and it was also the proudest. Admittedly, it's atmosphere was inclined to be heavy, but some remarkable people breathed it.

No hugs, not in my poll there isn't. We'll have none of that lilly-livered lackadaisical liberal loopiness.

This is all out bloody partisanism. It's going to get ugly, it's going to get bloody, downright dirty and nasty. People may even get ever so slightly huffy and I just don't damn well care.

you're damn right immo

this is the mother of all polls and we're winning so maybe a victory declaration should be made before it's too late

That's the sort of dissension in the ranks we would only expect from a closet stripey!

... no wait, CLOSET STRIPEY!

Nope, that's not quite got it, has it?

It's been a week now, can we confidently say that this scientific and proven survey, covering a HUGE swathe of Vale supporters, offers conclusive proof that stripes are indeed stupid, and all people who like them are - not to mince words - stupid?

I think so, twice as many Vale fans think stripes are stupid. You can't argue with stats Twitters, as you well know.

I'd like another week to think about it.

It seems to be a choice of being stupid or a dimwit.
I'm also not sure about the lusting after middle aged women (not even attractive ones) that seems a mainstay of the dimwit camp. :hi:
I have considered the impudent accusations of Mr Dawkins with exasperation at his lack of serious scholarship. He has apparently not read the detailed discourses of Count Roderigo of Seville on the exquisite and exotic leathers of the Emperor's boots, nor does he give a moment's consideration to Bellini's masterwork, On the Luminescence of the Emperor's Feathered Hat. Dawkins arrogantly ignores all these deep philosophical ponderings to crudely accuse the Emperor of nudity.

No thinking! This is a matter of the heart - unnescesary procrastination is the vice of stripes!

I'd be interested to know what Jason's opinion is of this old Villa shirt from 1999/2000

My poll, my rules. No off-topic.

In any event, no-one cares about Aston Villa, WJ may say he supports them but he's trying to be trendy and fashionable. He's fallen for the lure of the seductive brummie accent and the bright lights of the big city and doesn't realise how badly he's got it wrong. He'll obviously deny that but I think we all know it's true.

So, right, where are we. . .

No hugging.
No thinking.
No off-topic.

It's about Vale and the dirty-neither-here-nor-there crappy modern stripes or the bold, clear, definitive and decisive statement of the traditional plain strip.

No beginning and no end. Never surrender and never give in, never let the enemy win. Never say why, never say die, it's always worth another try.

Or we'll end up with no future and no hope.

I really must get some work done.

In order for stripes to prevail, all that it takes is for plain men to do nothing.

Act now, and stamp out this cancer.
